715 Health Check
Book your free 715 health check today! Looking after your health starts with a simple check-up. The 715 health check is a free, annual health check for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of all ages in Yarrabah.
It looks at your physical, emotional, and social wellbeing, and helps to prevent or detect early signs of chronic disease.
What’s involved in a 715 health check?
A friendly team made up of an Indigenous health worker, nurse, and doctor will:
- Measure your height, weight, and temperature
- Ask about your diet, exercise, home life, and daily routine
- Check your blood pressure, heart and lungs
- Perform blood and urine tests
- Offer any needed immunisations
- Do a hearing check
- Make sure everything in your body is working as it should
Follow-up and support
If anything needs further attention, your doctor will create a treatment plan and refer you to a specialist if needed.
Our clinic will follow up with you by phone, letter, or a home visit, to check on your results and support your next steps.
