MobMoves program

The MobMoves program was developed through extensive yarning with Yarrabah community members to explore what a culturally responsive, movement-based program could look like for local children and families.

The initiative focuses on strengthening the connection between Culture, movement and wellbeing, recognising the important role each plays in supporting healthy communities.

Through game-based play and culturally informed activities, MobMoves aims to encourage greater participation in physical activity while supporting positive health and social and emotional wellbeing outcomes for young people.

Researchers and community partners are hopeful the program will commence in 2026 through a continued partnership with the Yarrabah community.
